Lace Me Up Tuesday - Checkerboard
Well... everything is online, so starting today, we'll post lace styles directly from Ian Fieggen's site!
And as requested, today we'll be featuring the Checkerboard!
Lacing Technique:
1. Start with two pairs of different color laces, preferably the wide, flat variety.
2. With one color (orange in my diagram), lace the shoe using Straight (Easy) Lacing.
3. With the other color (purple in my diagram), start at the bottom of the shoe and weave the lace in and out of the other lace until you reach the top.
4. Fold around the top lace and head back down, weaving out and in until you reach the bottom.
5. Continue across the shoe until you're out of room or out of lace, whichever comes first.
6. Tuck all the loose ends of the laces into the shoe.
Difficulty Level: No pain, no gain.
Fit: Loose fit

Lace Me Up Tuesday - Straight Euro
For today's lacing style, we give you Straight Euro from "Laces: 100s of Ways to Pimp your Kicks" by Ian Fieggen.
It's not everyday you can parade an old style with a twist, so get your fingers ready and your laces ready to go. Start by threading both ends from front to back (that's the gray line). Pick up one end of the lace (the right or yellow end) and cross it back to front, then ran it across to the other end. Stretch the other end (blue or left end of the lace) and cross on the 3rd set of eyelets back to front. Ran it across the first and continue onwards until you reach the last pair of eyelets.
It provides a tight fit.
Difficulty Level: A little confusing, but ends creatively.
